THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH AND THE SPIRIT OF ERROR

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2. By this you know the Spirit of GOD; Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3. and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4. You are of  God little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world . 5. They are of  the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error” -1 JOHN 4: 1-6

  Many religions believe there is God and they use different intermediaries to link up with God. Even some Christian denominations also use some intermediaries to reach God, whether an image, a human being, money etc. It must be known however that there is the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.  

The spirit of truth is the spirit of God while the spirit of error is the spirit of Satan. Some people believe they are worshipping God whereas they are worshipping  Satan through the influence of the spirit of error. They set up images or human beings in the guise that they are worshipping God. Do not be deceived the only way to God is through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. " I am  the way,  the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except though Me." (John 14:6).  

The litmus test of knowing whether you are worshipping God or not is your acknowledgement of Jesus Christ as Lord. If you worship Mary, Mammon or any other image or your Pastor, Reverend, Bishop or Pope is placed above JESUS then that is the spirit of error. If your religion does not acknowledge Jesus as Lord, the spirit of error controls it.

Check yourself today to see if truly you are worshipping God or the spirit of error. If you are worshipping the spirit of error  in ignorance , REPENT and begin to worship God by acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord. If you do not believe in God, you are an atheist and it is the spirit of error at work in your life. You cannot afford to make an error in life. Repent now and begin to serve God through Jesus Christ.

 Do you want to be reconciled with God, through Jesus the Lord and Saviour? Then say this simple prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and have fallen short of your glory. I genuinely repent from all my sins and pledge to go and sin no more.  I accept your plan to reconcile mankind to you through Jesus Christ, who you sent in your name. I believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and died on the Cross to pay the penalty for my sins and redeem me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I pray that His blood washes my sins away. I invite the Holy Spirit to rule my Life. I am born again in Jesus name.
